ADBLUE

ADBLUE

What is ADBLUE?

It is an exhaust fluid which is squirted in the flow of exhaust gases at high temperatures to reduce the nitrous oxide emissions of diesel engines., it is not an engine additive. You will usually top the fluid up during your service schedule or as needed dependent on mileage use. To know you have ADBLUE most vehicles have a blue filler cap next to your fuel cap (as pictured above), from 2015 onwards most diesel vehicles will be equipped with adblue system.

What happens when adblue runs out / low mileage range

When the dreaded happens you get a warning light on the dash " adblue " followed by either "low mileage count" or the worst of them all "non start" due to adblue levels too low or the Adblue tank has a fault. We can sort this for you and have helped many customers in the same situation even stuck on a job or at a local supermarket if your lucky you could still be at work.

will diagnostics sort this?

In some rare but lucky cases yes your local breakdown company or mechanic as like us can simply reset the adblue system top up the tank and away you go.....
